                          Shenanigans 


knock, knock
		        who’s there?
it’s me	
		        who’s that?
let me in
no one here but us chickens
but chickens can’t speak
		they don’t have lips with which to speak
so I call shenanigans
	you are home
	        avoiding me
		you are home
		         telling stories to lead me astray

knock, knock
			no one here but us chickens
				(bawk, bawk
			and you flap your arms like flightless wings)

knock, knock
			no one’s home
			NO ONE IS HOME

but I hear your voice 
		and call shenanigans
stop avoiding me at the door
		thresholds cannot keep you safe
		  i’m not a vampire
knock, knock
			fine, come in
						(as I sneak out the back door
                                                     to hide from myself)

I like the way you've used formatting to contribute to the sense of what's happening here -- how it takes different sides, and then they reverse, which gives us a hint of what's going on before we find out that it's yourself that's knocking.
