That was EXCELLENT! It seems like an original piece (with of course Heron-inspiration) and you did an amazing job, grabbing the feeling and shaking us. Reminding us, watching this revolution charge from screen to screen to screen from scream to scream to scream, we must join the chorus. #blacklivesmatter because #alllivesmatter because our founding document recognizes 'life', identifies 'liberty' and promises 'a pursuit of happiness' and why are "patriots" the first to argue against these American promises? Blue is not better than black, it is just safer. This is not an issue of black or white or red or yellow or man or woman or young or old. Our war? Is between our ears when we watch someone shot between the eyes, between their lungs, between their school and home, between their family and friends, and the criminal is identified by law as the witness and their camera. That? Is all of us, hopefully.
So, we watch our screens and choke on our screams and our television tells us one thing while our monitors tell us another.
Graphic video offers us a deathcount on TV, but do they show the marches if they don't end in riots? Do they spend 15 precious minutes letting us know hundreds marched in the streets in one town, and this happened in almost every town? Do they tell us, how to join them? TV will broadcast malice, fear, and blood but where is the true revolution that is brewing in the majority's heart that only understands the color red, red, red... and that no longer lubs-and-dubs, but throbs-and-sobs to the message: "NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE!"
That revolution? Is still untelevised. Luckily, we are free enough to change that. And? I'd like to think we are.

Reminding us,
watching this revolution
charge from screen to screen to screen
from scream to scream to scream,
we must join the chorus.
#blacklivesmatter
because
#alllivesmatter
because
our founding document recognizes
'life', identifies 'liberty' and promises 'a pursuit of happiness'
and why are "patriots" the first to argue
against these American promises?
Blue is not better than black,
it is just
safer.
This is not an issue of
black or white
or red or yellow
or man or woman
or young or old.
Our war?
Is between our ears
when we watch someone shot
between the eyes,
between their lungs,
between their school and home,
between their family and friends,
and the criminal
is identified by law
as the witness and their camera.
That?
Is all of us, hopefully.
So, we watch our screens
and choke on our screams
and our television tells us one thing
while our monitors tell us another.
Graphic video offers us a deathcount on TV,
but do they show the marches if they don't end
in riots?

letting us know hundreds marched in the streets
in one town,
and this happened
in almost every town?
Do they tell us,
how to join them?

malice, fear, and blood
but where is the true revolution
that is brewing in the majority's heart
that only understands the color red, red, red...
and that no longer lubs-and-dubs,
but throbs-and-sobs to the message:

That revolution? Is still untelevised.
Luckily, we are free
enough
to change that.
And? I'd like to think
we are.
Thank you for your piece!
