Confession from the Chair
this is my confession
my admittance of wrong
i did it
i did it to save myself
and you
i did it to save my everything
to keep my world intact
whole
this is my confession
the place where i spill my words
burbling from my mouth
an artesian well of guilt
a lake of remorse
god who knew confessions were so difficult
so uncomfortable
sitting here, speaking
the hard wood gets harder
the guilt weighs upon me
using gravity
the chair bites into my legs
it splinters
like my words splinter the truth
my confession, my guilt, my blame
it all lays in shards at my feet
as i bleed from wounds
my guilt shatters me
my guilt breaks my surroundings
i see you in pieces
it is all my fault
