I've heard stories told that some boys given .22 rifles as pre-teens played games with each taking turns hiding behind boulders and shooting at each other's boulders, just like they'd seen in stupid western movies. Yay. Sounds like responsible gun ownership right? :P
Not me. No, I just remember crawling through storm drain pipes to get across the street to the park. Because the unbroken 4-lane traffic was too lethal to attempt crossing. Crosswalk, what's that? We didn't have those. Hell, on hot days, I'd spend hours exploring miles of storm drains in my hometown.
